Practice

You will only succeed in improving your musical skills with practice. If you are a beginner practice is essential. Ideally you should be spending at least 20 to 30 minutes on your instrument, three or four days a week. It is good to get into a routine of practicing at the same time and on the same days every week. This isn’t always possible with a busy family schedule but it really helps to improve and learn the concepts being taught at each lesson. With younger children it is good to keep a practice chart and have a reward at the end of the week or month if they have practiced.

The following are some vocal warm-ups. You should practice with these at least five times a week to see improvements. We will be adding tips for guitar, Ukulele and drums soon!

Vocal Warm-ups -MP3's

You can try these warm ups with different vowels. Please be very focused on the shape of the vowel and your breath when you are practicing  to get the most benefit out of the exercise.
