Emer is a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for all genres of music. She has taught piano, voice and guitar for the last 25 years. A mother of two, she moved to Barrie from Toronto eleven years ago. Having gained vital experience as a teacher at several private music schools in Toronto, she decided to open her school in Barrie. Since then she has inspired many loyal students to follow and pursue their musical dreams. MLB is not just about taking music lessons, it is about being part of a musical community that inspires and helps cultivate and spread the joy of music. Emer enjoys working with students of all ages. She has a natural way of connecting with her students and helps them build confidence. As well as teaching private lessons she has worked in the Toronto District School Board instructing glee programs and leads ukulele circles for seniors. Her musical journey began with the piano, at the Royal Conservatory of Music, in Toronto at the age of 7 where she completed her grade 8 RCM certificate in piano. Over time she developed a love for jazz and popular music which ultimately led her to the commercial jazz program at Humber College where she completed a Bachelor of Music degree majoring in voice & performance. She graduated from Humber with honors and went on to do a degree in music education at York University, graduating in 2011. All through her studies she was performing and recording her original music and learning about the music business first hand. she recorded her first EP of original music with Ron Lopata, now VP A&R Warner Music Canada at Warner Music Canada. She brings this knowledge of the music business into her work, educating students in all aspects of the music world.

Brigitte Eve is a dynamic bilingual performer, vocalist, and songwriter with a proven track record performing at festivals, restaurants, events, and bars. With a passion for connecting with people through music, Brigitte brings her energy, creativity, and experience into teaching. She offers for beginners, fun, engaging guitar and ukulele lessons for students ages 6–16, helping young musicians build confidence, develop their skills, and discover the joy of making music in both French and English.
